Playing their last Veterans match away to Swansea, Heatherton bowlers did very well to win. This victory made it four wins out of six for the team who have enjoyed their best run in the Veterans Welsh League since it started. All rinks bowled well and quickly adapted to the away green. Heatherton won the match by seven shots and collected nine points. Well done to all bowlers who travelled to Earlswood to play this fixture. Get well wishes

Everyone was upset to hear that Mrs. Winnie Lamb had been taken into Withybush Hospital. All members hope she will be well enough soon to be back home again. Best wishes Winnie from everyone at the club.

Junior section

On Sunday, two teams of Heatherton Juniors played in the Under 16s triples (West region) competition at Ogwr IBC. Ysie White, Dana Rogers and Joe Dennis were unfortunate in not winning their game against very competent opposition. Liz Goldwait, Ryan Thomas and Liam Price won both their qualifying games and will now play in the third round and quarter-finals which will be held at Heatherton on Saturday, February 17, at 9.30 am.
