ADAM AND EVE TOURNAMENT

Matches were played on Saturday, up to the quarter-finals. There was a much larger entry than previous years and also three of the younger bowlers entered for the first time.

They were Mathew Dick, James Criddle and Miss Danna Rogers, who all bowled really well, and I'm sure they enjoyed themselves.

Tournament organiser, Mr. Mike Gouldingay, said that all matches were played in good spirits, and it was a very successful day.

The last eight bowlers who got through were Mr. D. Robb, Mrs. G. Rees, Mrs. C. Evans, Mr. T. Harris, Mr. E. Dezelle, Mr. J. Jones, Mr. H. Davies and Mr. A. Whitehouse.

The next stage will be played during tournament week.

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

John Roberts, Heatherton's singles champion, playing in the Champion of Champions tournament in North Wales, won his first round and then lost in the second round to the winner of the last year's tournament. Well played John.

Heatherton bowlers, meanwhile, would like to wish John all the best in the semi-finals of the Welsh Indoor Singles Championship at Llanelli on Monday, February 9.

The semi-finals and final will be televised between 1.30 and 4.30 pm.

ANNUAL TOURNAMENT

All entries for this year's annual tournament must be in by Friday, February 13.
