Heatherton 141 (18 pts.)
The Meads 102 (4)
A superb shot collecting spree by Steve Reese and his rink on Saturday helped Heatherton to chalk up a 39-shot victory at home against The Meads.
Steve and his foursome were 17-9 down at 13 ends, but with some 'special petrol' kicking into gear, it was all one-way traffic for the rest of the game, with gold and green stickered bowls surrounding the jack.
Eric Dezille, Mal John, John Moffatt and Steve scored an amazing 31 shots without reply as they ran out 40-17 winners.
That score boosted Heatherton's overall performance as until Steve's men went on the rampage, it was pretty much an evenly matched game.
Heatherton were seven shots adrift going into the afternoon session, with the morning rinks only managing one winning card thanks to John Baggott and co.
However, the tables were turned in the afternoon, with the home side coming out on top on all three rinks to record a 39-shot win and pick up 18 points.
Heatherton do not have a game tomorrow (Saturday) in the WIBA Club Championship due to the group championship at Llandrindod Wells. They will, however, be in league action again next Saturday, November 8, when they travel to play Dinefwr, Ammanford.
Rink scores (Heatherton first, Meads skips only) were:
H. Davies, A. Jarvis, G. Hughes, A. Whitehouse 18; L. Davies 22.
P. Wynn, T. Brown, M. Jackson, J. Baggott 20; R. Price 11.
C. Davies, A. Hooper, T. Harries, G. Hewitt 15; B. Absalom 27.
M. Thorpe, J. Lewis, M. Evans, C. Wynn 27; M. Hughes 12.
R. Brabon, J. Hubbard, P. Blayney, J. Roberts 21; R. Thomas 13.
E. Dezille, M. John, J. Moffatt, S. Reese 40; R. Jones 17.

West Wales v East Wales
On Saturday, four players, Ysie White, Gemma Amos, Luke Rees and Joe Dennis, from Heatherton were selected to play for the West Wales team against a very strong East Wales team at Cynon Valley IBC.
Ysie played third in her rink in what was a close game all the way through and eventually after 21 ends, the game ended all-square, 21 each.
Gemma's rink took an early lead and held it right up to the last end when they dropped a five and lost by one shot.
Joe and Luke played skip and third in their rink in what was another very close game, but with Joe and Luke playing well together, they were the only West Wales rink to win.
Three players from Heatherton, Gemma Amos, Ysie White and Adam Hensman, will be in the first round of the Welsh singles on Sunday, November 2 - good luck!
