Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal has reached two significant landmarks.

Firstly, Elly’s Appeal, which officially started on May 1, 2015, has done it!

The magnificent sum of £25,000 in the bank for Ward 10 for patient, visitor and staff environment and experience. Thank you to everyone who has helped, donated, supported, encouraged or done anything to get this amazing total. This is an amazing total considering the very first aim was to reach just £50 for Ward 10.

Secondly, Elly, who is six-years-old and a pupil at Pembroke Dock Community School, went along to Ward 10 (cancer ward) at Withybush Hospital on Wednesday, June 22, to see a ‘big step forward’ for Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal.

The first piece of ‘new’ equipment for Ward 10 which has been purchased with money from Elly’s Appeal.

The ‘Sara Steady - enhanced standing aid’ was chosen by Ward Sister Helen Johns as being a very important piece of equipment to help patients and staff.

The item cost a total of £1,017. Hywel Dda Health Charities and Hywel Dda Health Board have thanked Elly’s Appeal and all its supporters for this landmark step to support Ward 10. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this possible and for helping the patients who are currently on Ward 10.
