The South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network will be holding its next public meeting at 5 pm in Saundersfoot’s Regency Hall on Wednesday, July 19.
The County Director of Hywel Dda University Health Board, and the Practice Managers from both Tenby and Saundersfoot’s GP surgeries will be there - so this is a special opportunity for the community to learn more about how local health services operate, their challenges and their achievements.
There will also be opportunities for practitioners, policy makers and managers to hear what you think and answer your questions.
“These public meetings have always been constructive, positive and non-political since Mansel Thomas and Caroline Thomas founded the group to campaign for a new Cottage Hospital for the area many years ago. More recently, SEPCHN was instrumental in getting the Minor Injuries Unit reinstated at the Cottage Hospital,” said SEPCHN secretary Clr. Duncan Whitehurst who along with fellow town councillor Laurence Blackhall took on the task of organising SEPCHN meetings last year and have plans for a varied and interesting programme of meetings and events over the next twelve months.
“The last meeting was well-attended and very informative. This promises to be so once again - so, if you care about community health services in our area, find out more and have your voice heard by attending the next Community Health Network meeting,” added Cllr Whitehurst.
