The new nurse-led ‘walk-in centre’ based at Tenby Cottage Hospital, has enjoyed a ‘very successful’ summer, one local health campaigner stated this week.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby Town Council, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, who is also secretary of the South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network (SEPCHN), told her colleagues that the service, which provides treatment for urgent minor illness and minor injuries, would continue throughout the week.

“This is a year-round service where patients can be seen by an Emergency Nurse Practitioner. It’s not just a summer service, so I’d urge people to use it,” she said.

Clr. Mrs. Maureen Ward told her fellow members that she’d been ‘looked after very well’ when she had cause to visit the facility since it opened.
