Withybush Hospital has purchased a brand new Golvo Aluminium Hoist for Ward 11. The hoist, which cost £3,891, was bought from charitable funds with donations from family friends and the local community towards Hywel Dda health charities.

The hoist will benefit patients and staff on Ward 11 and can be adapted to the individual patient and lifting situation.

Nicola Zroud, senior ward sster, said: “Thank you to everyone who has donated to the ward and helped towards the purchase of the new hoist. The use of the hoist has become an integral part of delivering care to patients who are dependent on us. It has given our patients the ability to be moved safely into chairs, encouraging our patients to assist and participate in transfers.”
