Long-standing local health campaigner Mansel Thomas was recognised for his tireless work in seeking to maintain and improve health services in Tenby and South Pembrokeshire this week.
Mr. Thomas, of Upper Hill Park, Tenby, recently stepped down as chairman of the South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network (SEPCHN) after nearly 16 years in the role.
During his time as chairman he has helped spearhead the campaign to re-instate minor injuries provision at Tenby Cottage Hospital and has continually worked to bring local issues to the attention of the Hywel Dda University Health Board.
His work was praised by Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, at a special reception in the Mayor’s Parlour on Tuesday evening where Mr. Thomas was presented with a special Mayoral certificate acknowledging all he has done over the years.
