A determined 10-year-old, has raised £810 for a breast cancer charity by running 60km in a week around Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, inspired by her nanny's journey with Cancer Services Team support.

Eflyn who lives with her mum, dad, two brothers and two yappy sausage dogs. She decided to take on the challenge of running 60km in a week to recognise the 60,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK each year.

Eflyn said: “I ran outside in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, on the athletics track in Carmarthen and on the treadmill at home, often fueled by chocolate eggs over the Easter holidays.

“My nanny, Caroline, has been supported by the Cancer Services Team for several years and always been made to feel cared for.

“Mostly it was fun, but my legs and feet ached and I got quite tired. I did like Mummy feeding me chocolate on the treadmill though. I was very proud of myself for being so determined. I smashed my fundraising goal which originally was £100. Everyone was just so generous, and I raised £810 in the end. Thank you to everyone who gave me encouragement.
