A special group of young sports men and women were invited to County Hall last week.
The 12 Pembrokeshire youngsters will represent Wales at the Special Olympics in Leicester next week.
To mark their achievement, the county council's chairman, Clr. Anne Hughes, invited them to a special reception in Haverfordwest.
The 12 youngsters include 11 gymnasts and one swimmer.
Gymnasts Adele Bevan, Leah Scott, Victoria Walters, Emma Martin, Rhianne Cole, Jemma Bowie-Hallam, Jamie Bevan, Marcus James, Darren Briggs, Ryan Foot and Andrew Martin come from all over Pembrokeshire and will be taking part in a range of competitive disciplines in Leicester.
They are all members of the Pembrokeshire Special Needs Gymnastics Club and also travel to Cardiff one a month for Welsh squad training.
Swimmer Richard Young from Penally regularly trains with the Pembrokeshire Puffins, as well as with the Welsh team in Cardiff.
He will be competing in the 50 and 100 metres freestyle and backstroke races.
They will be supported by five coaches from PSNGC, while Jean Jones, the club's head coach, has been appointed as the head coach for the Welsh gymnastics team.
"You are a credit to our county and Wales and proof that hard work and effort pays off," Clr. Hughes told them.
"We in Pembrokeshire are very proud of you and wish you well at the Special Olympics."
If anyone wants to wave off the group, they will leave from County Hall car park in Haverfordwest tomorrow (Saturday) at 8 am.
