Over 120 people attended a quiz on Wednesday, February 3, for Mia’s appeal for Cystic Fibrosis at Wiseman’s Bridge Inn.

It’s was a fantastic evening with £619 raised in total, including £206.39 for the shaving of Gary O’Neill’s hair... and an extra £50 donation not to shave his eyebrows off! Money is still coming in, so this sum will rise.

Many thanks go to Mary Thomas, the quizmaster, who, as always, did a fantastic job and also included a few questions for Mia’s age group, as it was her first quiz (a few adults were stumped with these!).

It was, of course, also the first time Mia, who is 13 this month, had shaved anyone’s head - those present are not sure hairdressing will prove to be her chosen career path though!

Huge thanks to Gary, and to Tilly (Gary’s daughter and Mia’s friend) and Tracy (Gary’s wife) for tidying it up to create Gary’s ‘new do.’

Thanks also to Wiseman’s Bridge for hosting the event, all those who kindly donated raffle prizes and especially those who turned up on the night for their generosity and continued support.
