The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme in Pembrokeshire has recruited knitters to make clothes for children as aid to Eastern Bloc countries. The Communication Workers Union Humanitarian Aid convoys have been taking the aid out to Romania and Moldova regularly over the last 10 years. Much more aid is still required for these developing countries and next April CWUHA are taking aid to the Ukraine.

To keep our knitters busy, RSVP Pembrokeshire need donations of hand knitting wool in order to be able to make the necessary children's clothing, blankets etc. If you have some unwanted wool and are willing to donate for this very good cause, receptacles have been placed in both Tenby and Pembroke Dock public libraries from where one of our organisers can collect and distribute the wool.

If you are unable to take the wool to the library then please contact me on (01437) 768195 and I can arrange collection.
