Over 250 people attended a Family Fun and Fitness Day at Llys-y-Fran at the weekend.

Organised by Health Challenge Pembrokeshire, the fun-packed day included activities such as cycling, walking, dancing and games.

Participants were able to learn about drumming and outdoor cooking, as well as brush up on their circus skills and take part in a treasure hunt.

They were also able to have health checks and get nutritional advice.

The activity day was organised to raise awareness of the Government's Change4Life campaign, which aims to prevent obesity by encouraging people to eat more healthily and move more.

Clr. Sian James, cabinet member for health and well-being, said it had been a fantastic day with lots of families having the opportunity to try different activities.

"Too often people are daunted by the thought of having to make big lifestyle changes to keep fit when often they only need to take just a few small steps towards a healthier lifestyle," she said.

Health Challenge Pembrokeshire is a partnership of organisations working together to improve health and well-being in the county, including Pembrokeshire County Council and the Pembrokeshire Local Health Board.
