The Pembrokeshire Real Nappy Network is hosting a special celebratory Christmas Fair next month. The network, which provides information and support on choosing and using washable nappies, is holding a coffee morning get-together in Narberth. A recent survey of 2,000 households in Pembrokeshire with nappy-wearing age children, showed that washable nappies are becoming increasingly popular. A quarter of the 490 households that responded indicated that they used washable nappies all, or some, of the time. In addition, the maternity unit at Withybush Hospital is to distribute free washable nappies to parents of newborn babies until March. Held on Monday, December 3, at the Queen's Hall from 10 am to 2 pm, the Christmas Fair is for parents who already use washable nappies or want to know more about them. There will be stalls selling children's and parents' goods as well as providing information and craft workshops. Pembrokeshire Real Nappy Network staff will be on hand to provide informal advice on choosing and using washable nappies and on cashback and trial pack schemes. Further information is available from Katy Lawrence on 07852 284536 or Gayle Lister on 07920 245478.
