Last weekend Harten400 members continued with their fundraising efforts for The British Heart Foundation as they took part in the Carten100 - Cardiff to Tenby ride.
A raffle was held at the top of the harbour for a signed Geraint Thomas yellow Tour de France jersey.
Mayor of Tenby. Clr. Tony Brown was on hand to help sell tickets in between congratulating and having selfies with the many Carten finishers, and before fundraisers knew it £580 was raised!
The draw took place on Saturday night and congratulations to Jimmy Bridges who won.
While all this was going on several members of the team were using the Carten as a final long training ride. Andrew, Martin, Huw, Meinir, Helen and Steve all completed the 107 miles in the glorious sunshine with a smile on their faces.
Nigel, Jon and Gary went one step further and rode up to Cardiff Friday night and cycled back Saturday morning completing over 200 miles. A special mention must go to Alison Pearce and Rachel Griffiths as they both completed Carten while raising funds for The British Heart Foundation.
“With only two weeks left before the ride from Harrogate we would like to thank everyone who has supported us so far,” said Dai Morgan.
“It will still be a huge challenge to complete but if we do and finish the 280 mile ride then please come and join us on June 22 at our finish line party down the South Beach car park, where there will be music, food and drinks to hopefully celebrate a great achievement of raising lots of money for a fantastic charity,” he added,
