The patter of tiny hooves is being welcomed in Folly Farm with the arrival of Harry, a miniature pony foal.

He was born in the middle of the night and found in the morning by senior farm supervisor Laura Jones.

"It was a delight to walk into work and find baby Harry lying next to his mum," said Laura.

Harry, who stands at just two feet tall, is the second generation of his family to start life at Folly Farm. His dad is resident miniature pony Scooby, while his mum is Nesta, who was also born there to Cindy.

Now the little pony is settling well into his new home in the Jolly Barn, where visitors are amused by his inquisitive nature and Nesta's protectiveness.

"We are all very happy that everything went well, and that mum and baby are both fit and healthy," said Laura.
