This group of friends consists of four music teachers, Sarah Sharpe, Lisa Richards, Sarah Benbow and Miranda Rees, who joined together to form a vocal group, @Harmony, about four years ago. They have since done a variety of concerts, and last Friday, the Tenby and District Arts Club were treated to one.

It began with Can't Help Lovin' That Man from the musical, Showboat, followed by Fly me to the Moon, a Bart Howard song from 1954. The next number was a piece that @Harmony have frequently performed at weddings (and would be happy to do so again!), The Rose. This was written by Amanda McBroom, made famous by Bette Midler and more recently covered by Westlife.

An a cappella section followed, with Somewhere over the Rainbow and My Funny Valentine. The next item was Mr. Sandman, written by Pat Ballard in 1954 and used many times since, including in the movie Back to the Future. A John Lennon and Paul McCartney song, Long and Winding Road, followed. A Bob Dylan song, Make You Feel My Love, which Adele sang in her debut album, came next, and then a powerful rendition of Labi Siffre's 1987 single, Something inside So Strong.

There you'll be by Diane Warren, from the movie, Pearl Harbour, was the next song sung by the talented quartet. This was followed by a well-known Burt Bacharach number, the breakthrough song for the Carpenters (They long to be) Close to You. A Michael Jackson number, Man in the Mirror, followed.

The next item was True Colours, sung by Cyndi Lauper. The final song was a lively version of And All That Jazz, from the 1975 musical, Chicago. After some encouragement, @Harmony sang Somebody to Love by Freddie Mercury, ending to a standing ovation - a superb concert of old favourites and newer numbers, all sung with enthusiasm, enjoyment and accomplishment.

The members of @Harmony also perform with a larger group, Bella Voce, who are giving their first concert on Friday, December 5, at 7.30 pm, at St. Mary's Church in Haverfordwest.

Tonight (Friday) at St. Johns Church Hall, Warren Street, Tenby, the photographer Mick Brown will be giving a talk on Greenwich Mean Time and Navigation at Sea. This will be £2 for members and £4 for non-members, including light refreshments afterwards. Everyone is welcome to attend.
