Demolition work on the disused Jones and Teague buildings at the far end of Saundersfoot Harbour, has begun as part of a £4m plan to transform the site into an international marine tourism destination.

First Minister Carwyn Jones recently visited the village to announce that European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) has ben awarded to the project as part of proposals set out in the Harbour Commission's 'Sailing Ahead Strategy Document'.

The scheme proposes a new commercial slipway, the installation of a dry racking system for boat storage, an inner harbour landing pontoon and access bridge, and installation of decking over the existing sluice to enable open-air events to be held.
