This was the alarming scene on Tuesday morning after a car went into the water at Tenby Harbour.

The incident occurred at approximately 1.35 am.

Officers attended and a man was seen in the water, but the car was totally submerged.

Ambulance and coastguard also attended.

The man was assisted out of the water by officers, and was conveyed to Withybush Hospital.

Police say he was not believed to be suffering from any life-threatening injuries.

It was confirmed that no other people were in the car at the time of the incident.
