The inaugural Penally village lunch was held at the Cross Inn, Penally, when over 30 local residents turned out for a delicious three-course lunch.

The launch of the luncheon club came as a result of villagers meeting and discussing ideas with Rachel Gibby, of the Pembrokeshire County Council's Good Neighbour Scheme.

Local resident Marilyn Jones agreed to act as co-ordinator for the club and Chris at the Cross Inn was happy to do the cooking and serve the food.

Everyone present agreed it was a wonderful meal, with a lovely happy atmosphere.

The lunch club will now become a monthly event, with the next one being on Wednesday, February 15, at 1 pm, in the Cross Inn. Ring Marilyn Jones on 845864 to book your place.
