On March 3, the 4th Tenby Guides celebrate their 90th birthday, while later in the month, 3rd Tenby Brownies will also celebrate their 90th birthday.

Although the uniforms may have changed over the years, the tenets of Guiding remain fundamentally the same - giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities.

This is particularly true in Tenby where throughout the years many local girls have taken part in a variety of challenges and activities - entertained the crowds with gang shows and pantomimes, represented Wales at international camps, raised thousands of pounds for charities and achieved the Queen's Guide Award and the BP Challenge.

In recognition of the remarkable achievement of 90 years of continuous guiding in Tenby, a year of celebratory events are planned for both the Guides and Brownies - the first of which will be a Service of Celebration at St. Mary's Church, at 3 pm, on Sunday, March 3, followed by refreshments at Church House.

With over 150 guests expected to attend the service, why not come along and catch up with your Guiding friends, reminisce and see if you can find yourself in one of the many photos on display!
