It was with great joy and excitement that Tenby Tangent celebrated their first handover dinner this month since the outbreak of Covid.

Chairman Debs welcomed 11 members and guest Elaine to the wonderful dinner held at On George's on Wednesday, April 13.

Cards had been received from Averil Upham and Kath Scourfield thanking Tangent for the flowers they had received after both experienced spinal operations.

Thankfully, they are now on the road to recovery and everyone was delighted to see Averil at the dinner.

Members presented Debs with flowers thanking her for three excellent years in office as chairman, keeping the flag flying during this long incumbency and ensuring that she was in constant caring touch with all members.

Incoming officers for 2022/23 are as follows: chairman - Brenda Dooner (proposed by Debs Davies, seconded by Ruth Webb); treasurer - Jane Meyrick. (proposed by Michelle Grigg, seconded by Averil Upham); secretary - Debs Davies. (proposed by Ruth Webb, seconded by Jill McHugh).

Before handing over the chain of office Debs presented Jane with a gift for being her treasurer during her three years in office.

After a happy, enjoyable and sumptuous meal, Debs had great pleasure in presenting in-coming chairman Brenda with the chain of office and wished her good health and good fortune for her coming year.

Raffle prizes were won by Elaine Rowe and Michelle Grigg.

Warm thanks goes to Michelle Evans and Ingrid Jones for arranging the dinner. The next meeting will be on June 15 and will be arranged by Debs and Jane Meyrick.
