ZUM stormed the UK with its first sell-out tour in 2001.
This year, ZUM is touring its brand new show 'Gypsy Tango Inferno' - a stunning fusion combining the fire and brilliance of music from the Eastern European gypsy fiddle tradition and the hot-blooded passion of Argentinean tango, including music by the master of modern tango, Astor Piazzolla.
The tour stops off at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven, on Wednesday, May 14, when the audience will be treated to an awesome mixture of utterly compelling original material and some of the best, old and new, from the two traditions on which the band draws its inspiration, lightly spiced with a host of influences from klezmer and sephardic to bluegrass and bebop.
Magical tenderness and haunting, intoxicating harmonies, incredible explosions of sound and rhythmic power... ZUM is an inspiration to listen to and a joy to watch.
The band features Adam Summerhayes on violin, Chris Grist - cello, Jonny Gee - bass, Dave Gordon - piano, Eddie Hession - accordion.
The show starts at 7.30 pm and tickets - priced at £9 (£7 discounts) may be purchased from the Torch Theatre Box Office (tel: 01646 695267).
