A new fitness suite has been unveiled at Tenby Leisure Centre.
Pembrokeshire Leisure - Pembrokeshire County Council's leisure department - has invested £80,000 in the most up to date equipment for the gym, used regularly by over 500 members.
Thirty new pieces of equipment have been installed, including state-of-the-art cardiovascular and resistant machines.
Clr Rob Lewis, cabinet member for leisure, said the new gym was now one of the most stylish and motivating in the county.
"Its investment is part of the council's commitment to provide residents with the most up-to-date leisure facilities at affordable prices," he said.
."The new facility should make working out a real pleasure and we would encourage members - both old and new - to try it out for themselves."
Hannah Francis, fitness suite instructor, said the new gym had been warmly welcomed by users.
"It's a fantastic range of equipment that has really boosted everyone's enthusiasm to achieve their goals," she said.
Manager Robert Thomas said that since he had taken up his post in 2001, he had seen a huge increase in the number of people wanting to improve their fitness and lead healthier lifestyles.
"It makes me very proud that Tenby now has a facility, which boats the latest fitness equipment," he said.
The new gym equipment has been installed by Technogym, which recently installed 1,000 pieces of equipment in the main fitness centre at the Beijing Olympic Village, and which is considered one of the market leaders in cardiovascular and resistance machines.
