Tenby town councillors have backed the views of a local resident who is concerned about the flooding that regularly occurs on a section of the road at Gumfreston.
Members heard on Tuesday night that Mr. Neil Thomas, of The Hollies, Gumfreston, had written to Pembrokeshire County Council claiming that it was "time something was done about the problem."
"I have lived in Gumfreston for the past 10 years and during this time I have had to negotiate the flooding that takes place on the stretch of road between Heywood Lane and the bottom of Gumfreston Hill on numerous occasions each year," he stated in his letter.
"I cannot think of another road in Pembrokeshire that carries so much traffic and which experiences the same level of flooding. Surely it is time that the level of the road is raised to prevent it flooding."
Clr. Mickey Folland supported the views of Mr. Thomas, saying: "I agree that it is time PCC considered raising the level of the road, to avoid this flooding continuing in future."
