A former Pembrokeshire Brownie has recently been installed as a top official in the Guiding movement.
Elaine Brannan, who now lives in Shrewsbury, is Shropshire's new county commissioner.
Guiding is in Elaine's blood. She began her Guiding career when she was a Brownie, then a Guide and Ranger in Saundersfoot and now runs the Springfield Brownie Pack.
Elaine has recently been involved with celebrations to mark the centenary of the biggest girls' organisation when a jamboree-style day was held at the West Mid Showground and attended by a crowd of 3,000.
In addition, she was also featured in a two-page spread in last month's issue of The Shropshire Magazine.
Guiding is also in the family as Elaine and her two sisters, Mandy Reed and Carole Warren, both of Cardiff, had the honour of being Queen's Guides.
Elaine is the daughter of Rita and Don Hurlow, of Saundersfoot.
