Demonstrating their commitment to environmental improvement, St. Issell's Guides, together with Saundersfoot Recycling Group and the generous support of Saundersfoot Community Council, have organised a beach clean for Saundersfoot on Friday, May 15.

The clean will start at 7.30 pm and should take approximately one hour, hopefully leaving the beach in an even cleaner condition than usual.

Chairman of Saundersfoot Recycling Group, Clr. Phil Baker, said: "It shows once again how determined many of our young people are to make a real contribution to the wellbeing of the community.

"This is the same group that is most successfully looking after the two recycling sites in Saundersfoot - Bonville's Court and the Regency Hall car park. It bodes well for the future."

The assembly point for the beach clean will be the slipway next to the Mermaid Restaurant and any members of the public who wish to join in would be most welcome.
