Twenty walkers joined the last guided walk from Kilgetty Station to Tenby Station, which took place in glorious sunshine on June 2.
The next walk in this year's series is on Saturday, July 14. Led by Mike Thorne, it begins at Narberth Station at 11.23. The circular route, which is approximately nine miles, will take walkers through Narberth and out to the ancient woods at Canaston and Minwear.
There will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy the woods and the many secluded heritage sites they contain before returning to Narberth in time to catch the 17.03 train (eastbound).
Sarah Worby, SPARC/PLANED's tourism officer, said: "This annual programme of walks is designed to highlight opportunities for walkers to access the countryside by public transport. Both locals and visitors are welcome. If anyone would like more information about the walk or assistance in planning their journey to Narberth Station they can contact me on (01834) 860965."
The walk is organised by SPARC/PLANED as part of the Greenways initiative, which aims to promote access for all to Pembrokeshire's unique and beautiful countryside by environmentally sustainable means. The Greenways initiative is part funded by the European Union Objective 5b Rural Wales (ERDF) programme and the Countryside Council for Wales. The annual Guided Walks from Railway Stations programme receives additional assistance from Wales and West Passenger Trains.
