The chairperson and members of the Tenby and Pembrokeshire Branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association wish to extend sincere thanks to Whitland and District Male Choir, their musical director, Juliet Rossiter and accompanist, Hefina Jones, for an excellent concert on Tuesday, September 5, at St. Johns Church, Tenby. The concert was very well supported and raised £667, which included a donation of £50 from the choristers.

Thanks also go to Rev. Nanette Lewis Head and the elders of St Johns for use of their lovely church, to Mr John Hurlow for all his help in arranging the concert, to Winifred Hewlings, Elly Craig and Sonya Hurlow for their help with the refreshments, and to John Butland who kindly provided the milk. Sincere thanks to everyone who supported the concert, making it such a successful evening. The branch also wishes to express gratitude to everyone who provided assistance with the three flag days and in-store collections held throughout the county during the summer. Please be assured that your help is very much appreciated. This Sunday, September 17, is the date for a sponsored walk along the Sustrans Track from Neyland Marina to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first four guide dogs to be trained in Great Britain. Registration is 75p and takes place at Neyland Marina between 12.30 and 2 pm. If you would like further information or a sponsor form, please contact Eva Rich on 01834 812868.
