Simon Hart MP is pictured with Delyth Davies, chairman of the West Wales branch of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, at their annual lunch at the Boars Head Hotel in Carmarthen.
Mr. Hart was the guest speaker at the event which attracted surveyors from all over West Wales.
"We are the most thriving branch in Wales and we had 80 surveyors at the event," said Ms. Davies, the first female branch chairman for 20 years.
Mr. Hart joked: "Having spent the first 15 years of my career as a chartered surveyor, I was able to reassure the room that there is a profession that is even more unpopular than being an estate agent - being a politician!"
"It was great to see so many old friends and that the local branch is in such good heart."
