Griffon choristers give freely of their time to support and help raise funds for local charities. It was a particular pleasure for them to share a concert recently with a like-minded group, the award-winning Radyr and Morganstown Brass Band in aid of Tenby's Friends of the Community.
In the town's De Valence Pavilion, the Griffons were under the direction of Richard Stephens and had Jasmine Thomas as their accompanist, while Gareth Hann conducted the band.
A great audience enjoyed a feast of varied music from the rousing 'Entry of the Gladiators' through such as the haunting 'Take me home' to the clap-happy 'Springtime religion' and the finale when audience, choir and band united to lift spirits with 'Mae hen wlad'.
