Children at Pembroke's St. Mary's Church are getting ready to celebrate the birth of the new royal baby, expected in mid July.

Using only recycled materials, they are making entries for a competition on the theme of the royal birth as part of the church's Craft and Musical Festival.

The festival runs from July 9 to 13 (10 am - 4 pm), so it's just possible the baby will arrive during the celebrations! And all the entries will be on display throughout the event.

The festival also has competitions for flower arranging and cake decoration, plus a wide variety of craft displays.

And on the Thursday evening (July 11) a concert will feature the West Gallery Singers, who specialise in reviving Georgian church and country music from the 18th and early 19th centuries.

The festival will close on Sunday, July 13, with a special Songs of Praise which will feature favourite hymns requested by parishioners and the public (requests must be submitted before July 7).
