Greenhill School pupils have been enjoying breaktimes with wonderful sea views in the recent warmer weather thanks to the addition of twenty new picnic tables.

Several pupils worked together alongside the groundsman, D.T. department and Duke of Edinburgh coordinators to build the picnic tables which have been positioned on grassy areas overlooking the sea.

Headteacher Mr. David Haynes said he was very grateful to the Friends of Greenhill and the governing body for supporting the School Senedd in their efforts to improve the outdoor environment of their school.

The pupils have enjoyed relaxing and talking with their friends during break times, which has had a positive impact upon their wellbeing. Further improvements are anticipated over coming weeks and months, such as the installation of new basketball hoops.

There are ongoing improvements to both the inside and outside spaces at Greenhill, all aimed to enhance the pupils’ experience in school.
