Soroptimist International Tenby and District played host to a very successful debating team from Greenhill School. The team, as pictured, was made up of Heather Whittaker, Gabby Rees and Holly Thomas. The subject of the debate was, as usual, controversial and thought-provoking. Entitled 'A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down in', they argued two opposing ways in which parents should bring up their children. They injected a lot of wisdom and humour into their arguments and the audience were thoroughly entertained. The standard of not only the public speaking, but also the background research and consideration given to the subject was incredibly high. The president of Soroptimists, Mrs. Dilys Jenkinson, thanked Heather, Gabby and Holly for giving their time and for displaying such talent. Thanks also to Mr. Calvin Williams for co-ordinating the event.
