Tenby town councillors have been shown plans for the proposed enhancement of The Green area. Councillors recently approved the landscape design for the area, and discussed a more detailed design when they viewed plans at their meeting on Tuesday evening. The design shown did leave them with a few concerns, however, and Clr. Trevor Hallett felt that a "bit more tweaking" was required on certain aspects of the plans. The landscape architect, Mr. D. Rees, had written explaining that he hoped the project could be completed by the end of next March. When members asked why there was such a rush to get their response back to Pembrokeshire County Council, the town clerk, Mr. Andrew Davies, explained that funding for the scheme would only be available up to March of 2008. "I'm glad that they are doing something to enhance The Green, but let's get it right in the long run," said Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas.
