Janice was selected by her category judge, award-winning garden designer, Andrew Fisher Tomlin, as the winner of the best garden design category and awarded the prize of a £100 Wilko gift card to spend on her impressive garden, plus a personalised trophy.
Janice said: “It’s very exciting to be a winner of the Wilko competition 2017 in the ‘Best Garden Design’ category. Our garden gives us such joy and we are thrilled to be able to share it with everyone. It is our little haven and a place where we relax and unwind.”
Lloyd Taylor, head of garden at Wilko, said: “We were really pleased by the quality of entries and all of the gardens and projects submitted. The result was a great selection of beautiful outdoor spaces. There can only be one winner per category and we were thoroughly impressed with Janice’s photo and the hard work she had obviously put into her garden, as was her category judge.”
The Amateur Gardener of the Year competition was launched by Wilko in 2017 with the aim of finding some the UK’s most talented amateur gardeners.
