Sir,
My wife, daughter and myself would like to extend our thanks (through your newspaper) to all the people in Tenby who made our daughter's christening such a special day.
We live in Wolverhampton, but love to spend time in and around Tenby, usually three to four weeks every year and any spare weekends.
My wife and I felt that it would be very special if our daughter Bethany could be christened in your beautiful St. Mary's Church. Canon David Jenkins made this possible for us and conducted the service with grace and good humour.
Roger, Margaret and staff at the Lydstep Tavern kept our party fed and watered with an excellent roast and good wine. The Glenthorne B and B provided good accommodation for some of our party, and the weather ensured that it was not only our daughter who got her head wet!
As much rain as fell on Sunday, October 13, it failed to dampen our spirits, and we returned to the Midlands with great memories of a very special day.
It is a pleasure to holiday in Tenby, and to put as much money as possible into the local economy - we even bought our three-piece suite from T. P. Hughes (thanks chaps).
So many thanks to all of the folks who always make us so welcome, in particular the staff at the Candy and at TYF.
As they say in Wolverhampton, "What a bostin place."
Rick, Amanda and
Bethany Taylor.
