Tenby Town Council are to consider a multi-million pound scheme for the redevelopment of the centre of the town when they meet next week.
As we reported last week, an ambitious residential, retail and leisure proposal which incorporates not only the former five-storey Royal Gatehouse Hotel, but also the adjoining Royal Playhouse Cinema and nearby Royal Lion Hotel has been submitted to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
There's also a new application for the former Delphi Hotel site on South Parade.
The applications the council will look at next Tuesday night are as follows:
NP/09/011 - Dovey Estates Ltd., and Mr. G. Fry, c/o Mrs. Arran Dallimore, C2J Architects, 2nd Floor, 14-18 City Road, Roath, Cardiff - proposed residential development of three town houses with on-site car parking and amenity facilities, land to the rear of 1-5 White Lion Street.
NP/09/012 - Dovey Estates Ltd. and Mr. G. Fry, c/o Mrs. Arran Dallimore, C2J Architects, 2nd Floor, 14-18 City Road, Roath, Cardiff - proposed residential development comprising 50 apartments (37x1b; 22 x 2b) with on-site amenity facilities, basement car parking, cycle storage and refuse storage facilities. Said town clerk Andrew Davies: "It is a rather weighty bunch of applications which councillors will be considering on Tuesday night.
"The applications have generated a lot of interest in the town and several members of the public have already been into the office to view them."
