Manorbier Playgroup at Manorbier VC Primary School has received a grant of £3,472 for play equipment and storage from the Lottery-funded grants programme 'Awards for All Wales'. Play group workers, Manorbier School, parents and children are delighted to now be in a position to buy new and exciting play equipment and much- needed storage equipment to make the children's experience even more enjoyable. Playgroup treasurer, Angela Rogers said: "We are delighted with the award and know that the new equipment will help make a real difference to the community, not only for the children already using the group, but for children in years to come." Manorbier Playgroup has been running for three years, initiated by Manorbier VC School who kindly offer the venue free of charge. The playgroup runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings between 9 am and 1 pm and offers a 'wrap around' lunch facility for children attending the early years class at the school. The playgroup is a member of the Wales Pre-School Playgroup Association and offers a healthy eating programme, play and development in a friendly and safe environment.
