Cresselly, Lawrenny, Carew and Neyland are through to the semi-finals of the 2009 Graham Jewson Harrison-Allen Bowl, following wins over Herbrandston, Crymych, Stackpole and Neyland, respectively.

If anything, Neyland caused a few eyebrows to raise with a dramatic two wickets win away to Haverfordwest, who were bowled out for 90. Andrew Miller took 5-9 with his 'Hollioakes' and Patrick Hannon made inroads into the batting line-up with his 3-24 spell.

Apart from Dan Field with 22 and Richard James with 19, there was little resistance from the Town batsmen, some of whom contributed to their own demise.

Neyland won by scoring 91-8 in reply. At one time it was touch and go as Stephen Phillips took 3-22, with Adam James and spinner Clive Tucker picking up a brace of wickets each. However, Gregg Miller removed any doubt about the result with brave and aggressive innings of 31no, which included two morale-boosting sixes.

Carew racked up the runs at home to Division Two Stackpole and ended with a total of 202-3. Brian Hall was 81no with two sixes and eight fours, Tim Hicks had a swashbuckling knock of 49no with six sixes, but no fours, Ian Sefton scored 21 and Wayne Cannon 18.

The visitors lost quick wickets in a futile attempt to chase down the Carew total and were bundled out for 86. Young leg spinner Ceri Brace took 5-17 and skipper Rob Scourfield 3-22.

Alan Webster was the mainstay of the Stackpole innings with 25.

Cresselly won by eight wickets away to Herbrandston after bowling out the Division Two team for 90. Spinner Ryan Lewis took 3-8 and there were also three-wicket hauls for Lyn Richards with 3-27 and Richard Harris with 3-30.

For Herbie, Kristan Bennett scored 21 and Jonty Bennett 20.

Andrew Harris and Phil Williams blunted the Herbie pace attack with an opening stand of 56 before Williams fell for 18.

Harris went on to score a superb undefeated 54 with 10 fours as Cresselly reached 94-2.

For the first time in cup competitions, Third Division Crymych were up against a Division One outfit and did extremely well to reduce First Division Lawrenny to 89-5.

However, the strength in depth of the Lawrenny team got the visitors out of trouble to reach 163-7.

James Buckle played a steadfast role in his innings of 59 and skipper Hugh Griffiths raised the tempo in a quickfire knock of 23. Earlier Andrew Cole scored 26 and Brad McDermott-Jenkins 22.

Murray Briggs took 4-34 and created some excitement in the Crymych camp by taking three wickets in his first over. Crymych skipper Dai Deardon finished with 2-40.

Crymych have a strong early order who all score regularly in Division Three, but they lost quick wickets after being unsettled by the pace of Robert Williams.

The Crymych total gained respectability after a fighting, hard-hitting innings of 42 by Rhys Davies, which included two sixes and five fours, but Crymych were dismissed for 98 to give the visitors victory by a margin of 65 runs.

Rob Williams finished with a deserved 5-10 stint in six overs and Ceri Jones took 4-13 in a lively spell.
