Lawrenny are through to the second round of the Graham Jewson Harrison-Allen Bowl following a comprehensive win over Llangwm in one of three first round matches between two Division One clubs.
The visitors Llangwm were bundled out for 64 as Steve Lewis took 3-19, and there were two wickets apiece for Robert Williams, Simon Cole and Richard Prout.
For Llangwm, Luke Brock with 17 and Williams Beresford with 15 were the only batsmen in double figures.
In reply, Lawrenny soon got to a winning total of 64-2 as Andrew Cole continued his good form with 21 not out after James Buckle had been dismissed for 15.
In a remarkable match at Pembroke, excellent bowling by Richard Harris with 4-18 and Stefan Jenkins had a haul of 4-10 for Cresselly which resulted in Pembroke being bowled out for just 30. Sean Powell with 18 scored more than half of his team's runs.
Cresselly themselves were on the rocks at 6-4, but Phil Williams with 13 not out had an unbroken fifth wicket partnership of 25 with Richard Harris to make sure of a six wickets win for the visitors.
Scott John with 42, Andrew Miller with 41 and Jeremy Charles with 28 took Neyland to a score of 141-6 at home to St. Ishmaels. James Salter was the most successful bowler with a return of 4-43.
Although skipper Peter Bradshaw reached 37 and Stewart Kimpton 31 not out supported by Andrew Palmer with 27, Tish lost by 13 runs after being held to a total of 128-7.
Third Division Lamphey won by 12 runs against a spirited St. Florence team who ply their trade in Division Five.
A first wicket partnership of 54 between Robert Mathias with 38, including four 4s and two 6s, and Andrew Skeels with 14 helped Lamphey build up a total of 104 all out, despite a subsequent collapse.
Vice-captain Nick Shelmerdine with 20 was the only other batsman to make a significant contribution as Neil Powling took 4-9, backed up by two wickets each for Ben McDonnell and Ashley Smith.
All-rounder Powling followed up his bowling to top score in the St. Florence reply with 38, including four 4s and a six, in an opening stand of 43 with Peter Hall, who backed up with 16.
However, the rest of the batsmen failed to take advantage of the good start as Grant Cole took 3-16, Hywel Gibbs 2-15 and Steve Vale 2-24 to restrict the visitors to a total of 92-7.
Hundleton were dismissed for 66 in response to a total of 161-5 posted by the visitors Llanrhian.
Geraint Morris with 73 and Jack Jones with 47 got the runs for the Llanrhian team and Chris Cousens with 4-21 and David Hamilton with 4-22 picked up the wickets.
Hook won by 82 runs at Fishguard after scoring a formidable total of 199-5. James Phelps batted well in his innings of 88 no and stroke player Ross Martin backed up with 67.
Although the talented Jonathan Strawbridge scored 57, the Hook bowlers and fielders won the day by dismissing Fishguard for 117. Andrew Thomas was the leading wicket-taker with a return of 3-10.
Pembroke Dock were bowled out for 60 at home to Saundersfoot as David Parcell took 4-8 and paceman Yannick Parker 3-26. Former Saundersfoot player David Dunfee top scored for the Dock with 12.
The visitors won by eight wickets, with Simon Stanford 19no. John Camani had figures of 2-23 for the Dock.
In the local derby at Narberth, visitors Whitland came away with the spoils following an outstanding batting display to follow up the efforts of the bowlers and fielders in holding Narberth to a total of 126-9.
For Narberth, Marc Hughes with 63, including four 6s and four 4s, had a third wicket partnership of 82 with left-hander Tom Fox, who played the supporting role with 31.
Matthew Davies took 4-21 and later had an unbroken match-winning partnership of 71 for the second wicket with Edward John as Whitland won by nine wickets.
Openers Jonathan Thomas and Edward John gave the visitors a good start with a first wicket stand of 57.
Matthew Davies then joined John at the crease and the pair scampered like hares between the wickets to pass the Narberth total, although the boundaries were not neglected.
Edward John hit two 6s and six 4s in an impressive knock of 63no and Davies found the boundary three times before ending the match with a huge six into the rugby ground to end the match on 28no.
