FROM July 11 to 24, Colby Gallery, near Amroth, will be hosting a solo exhibition by well known local artist, Graham Hadlow. In 1998, Graham took the decision to leave a successful teaching career spanning over a quarter of a century to become a full-time artist. However, despite leaving secondary education (and Greenhill School in particular) teaching was not to be left behind for ever! Now we find him not only producing prodigious numbers of beautiful landscape watercolours, but also running classes and workshops throughout the county and beyond. As a result, he has been the inspiration of many a budding artist, and Colby Gallery is delighted to be included, for the second year running, in his list of workshop venues. And where could one find more beautiful surroundings for a day's painting than the National Trust Woodland Gardens? Sadly, Graham's two workshops at Colby are already fully booked, but if you want to be sure of getting on one next year, why not come and enjoy the exhibition, and while you're there, you can always reserve a place for 2006!
