Have Health and Safety gone mad?
Last Monday, April 1, work began on removing Goscar Rock from North Beach! And by the end of the day it had all gone.
A spokesman for the contractors (Parolliof Construction) said they had been asked to start work at the beginning of April to remove what was seen as 'a safety risk' from the beach in Tenby.
For hundreds of years the iconic rock has been a feature of Tenby's North Beach and an attraction to visitors of all ages, tempting young and old to climb up the rocky face and take in the unique views of Tenby's Harbour from the summit.
This picture by Pete Vincent shows how North Beach now looks since Goscar Rock was removed.
"Let's hope they don't stop us building sandcastles on the beach!" he said.
