On Thursday, July 5, Tenby Junior School held their school sports on a warm, but showery afternoon. As usual the event attracted a large crowd of parents and friends of the school.

Refreshments were served by members of the PTA and the sports was followed by a 'Fun Event' with 'staff water stocks', bouncy castle and many stalls.

The event was very successful and a substantial amount of money was raised for the school.

Raffle: the main raffle prize was a garden seat, made and donated by Mrs. Keating, of Keating and King. There were many other lovely prizes donated by the community.

The Deputy Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Lis James, presented the prizes to the winners:

Best NC Yr 3 boy athlete - Ciaran Broomhead (Red House).

Best NC Yr 3 girl athlete - Sara McClaren (Red House).

Best NC Yr 4 boy athlete - Lloyd Thomas (Blue House).

Best NC Yr 4 girl athlete - Tasha Kinsey (Blue House).

Best NC Yr 5 boy athlete - Toby Smith (Green House).

Best NC Yr 5 girl athlete - Antoinette Bourne (Yellow House).

Best NC Yr 6 boy athlete - Sam Christopher (Red House).

Best NC Yr 6 girl athlete - Nikki Dee Furlong (Blue House).

The judges for the afternoon were Mr. Paul Knight, Mr. Mathew Davies, Mrs. Karen Thomas and Mrs. Julie Hurlow.

The final house positions were: 1. Blue (Goscar House) 228 pts; 2. Green (Monkstone House) 210; 3. Red (Caldey House) 202; 4. Yellow (Giltar House) 174.

The Sports Cup was presented to Henry Boot and Nikki Dee Furlong, the house captains of Goscar.
