On Monday, members of the three churches in the parish of Pembroke Dock (St. John's, St. Patrick's and St. Teilo's), along with members of other churches in the Carew Benefice, met in St. John's Community Hall, to bid farewell to their popular assistant curate, the Rev. Dr. Miles Maylor.

Miles commenced his ministry in Pembroke Dock in November 2011 and will be greatly missed.

During the evening, warm tributes were paid to Miles, including one from Mr. Graham Parsell, the church warden, of St. John's Church, and Mrs. Vanessa Owen, speaking on behalf of the committee of St. John's Community Hall. Both expressed their gratitude for the enormous contribution made by Miles during his ministry in Pembroke Dock.

Before departing, Miles thanked everyone for their support and their friendship. He also reminded everyone to study the Scriptures and emphasised the need to love one another as God loves us!
