THERE'S been good news for Tenby adventurer Rosie Swale Pope this week. As reported by the Observer last week, Rosie has had a health scare. The 60-year-old grandmother underwent a biopsy after a mammogram discovered a very small suspect lump in her breast. Thankfully though, the biopsy test has come back clear. "Obviously, this is a huge relief," said her son James on her website. "Rosie has been treated very well at Goshen Cancer Care Center, under the care of Dr. Laura Morris." Currently making her way across the state of Indiana, on her round the world trek on two feet, Rosie, who left her home on her 57th birthday in October 2003, decided to make her condition public because she is taking part in her epic trek to raise awareness for cancer awareness, following the death of her husband Clive to prostate cancer and to encourage people to see their doctor early if they have any concerns. In a personal message on the website, Rosie said: "I am honoured to be treated by brilliant and very caring and lovely Dr. Morris and her team, and so lucky because the Goshen Cancer Care Center is state-of-the-art, innovative and pioneering cancer treatment. "It is absolutely vital for everybody to get check- ups. Early diagnosis is everything. This run around the world is meant to succeed and it will."
