The Tenby Christian 'Walk of Witness' will begin at Deer Park Baptist Church at 10 am on Good Friday morning.

A short reading, a prayer and a hymn will take place at each station.

The procession will then begin the walk from Deer Park to St. Johns Methodist Church, then on to The Salvation Army Citadel, then to St. Teilo's Church, and finally to St. Mary's Church, Tudor Square, where the procession will gather for the final reading, prayer and hymn.

Depending on the weather, free hot cross buns will be offered to the people. Should the weather be unkind, the hot cross buns will be distributed in St. Mary's Hall! It is not meant to be a repeat of feeding the five thousand, but a gesture of friendship!

The Cross, the Sign of Witness, will be carried in turn by a member of each congregation. Because of the possibility of visitors and sightseers, for health and safety reasons, the police are to be asked to send someone to be present, and each church to enlist at least one marshall to help the procession to keep clear of the usually heavy private and goods traffic on Good Friday, at the Five Arches, and the route to, and including, Tudor Square. Each marshall will wear a yellow H&S jacket to help to identify their role to sightseers, and the reason for their presence.

It is hoped that many will attend this 'Walk for Witness' from each church and from the surrounding area.

This witness is meant to be a sign of healing and hope to all, especially during this present time of economic uncertainty, fear of loss of jobs, and world poverty and conflict.
