Sir,

I attended the very successful and enjoyable Fish and Chip Supper at the Mermaid, Saundersfoot, last Tuesday, February 8, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Unfortunately, the event was slightly marred by the fact that we had to pay for car parking on the Harbour.

I have since contacted the Harbour Commissioners who, unfortunately, due to a slight misunderstanding had not been informed of the event officially and, therefore, could do nothing about waiving the parking fees for those attending the supper.

However they were extremely sorry and apologised most profusely and sincerely and assured me that it certainly would not happen again provided they had advance notice of any dates when such events would be taking place.

I hope that on reading this letter anyone who was rather annoyed that evening would be able to put it behind them and just remember what a good evening they had and look forward to the next 'Supper.'

Prince of Wales,
