The familiar sight of golfers using their clubs at the Kingsmoor sports field at Kilgetty will no longer be seen by passing motorists. A ban has been imposed as golf balls are damaging the grass cutting equipment. Speaking to Observer Sports, Kilgetty Cricket Club secretary Rose Jenkins said: "Due to seven instances in recent weeks when the groundstaff have had to release machinery blades due to golf balls being found, the Kingsmoor Sports Association have ordered notices banning golfers from using the cricket and football pitches to practice their golf swings." The ban takes effect immediately and will be enforced prior to notices being erected around the perimeter of the sports field.  Mrs. Jenkins added: "I appreciate that most golfers reckon they're sensible and never lose their balls, but the gang mowers are proving them wrong and are being badly damaged."
