Roger and Jenny Pratt recently presented a cheque for £300 for breast cancer services at Withybush Hospital by asking for donations instead of gifts for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Maxwell, breastcancer consultant at Withybush Hospital, said: “The breast care team recognise and appreciate the generous donation made to the unit by Mr. and Mrs. Pratt generated by their golden wedding anniversary party. Such generosity is typical of the community we serve and donations are used to add quality to the services we provide for breast patients.

“An example of this is the current breast care area (Beaches Rooms) which has been furnished and improved to a high standard and received recognition and an award by Macmillan Cancer Support, and improves the experience of patients referred to the department.”
